Overview
MeetingSight ("we", "us", or "our") is a scheduling and meeting intelligence platform operated by Precipitous LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use MeetingSight at app.meetingsight.com.
By using MeetingSight you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use and contact us to request deletion of your data.
Data We Collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) a profile photo. Authentication is handled by Clerk — we never store your password.
Calendar data
When you connect a Google or Microsoft calendar we store an encrypted OAuth access token and refresh token (AES-256-GCM). We read your calendar only to determine your availability and to create or update meeting events on your behalf. We do not store the content of your existing calendar events.
Booking information
When an attendee books a meeting through your public booking page we collect their name, email address, phone number (optional), timezone, and any answers to custom intake questions you have configured. This information is stored in our database and shown to you inside the app.
Push notification tokens
If you use the MeetingSight iOS app and enable push notifications, we store your device token. Tokens are used only to send you booking alerts (new bookings, cancellations, reschedules, and meeting reminders). You can revoke push permission at any time in your device Settings.
Usage and analytics
We collect anonymised usage events (page views, feature interactions) through PostHog to improve the product. No personally identifiable information is included in analytics events.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide the MeetingSight scheduling service
- To create calendar events in your connected calendar
- To send booking confirmation, reminder, and cancellation emails
- To send push notifications about your bookings
- To process payments for Pro and Pro+ subscriptions via Stripe
- To improve and debug the product using anonymised analytics
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Data Storage and Security
All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase with row-level security (RLS) enabled — each user can only access their own data. OAuth tokens for calendar integrations are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before storage.
All data is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS). Our infrastructure is hosted on Vercel (compute) and Supabase (database), both of which maintain SOC 2 compliance.
Third-Party Services
We share limited data with the following trusted providers to operate the service:
| Provider | Purpose | Data shared |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | Authentication | Email, name, profile photo |
| Stripe | Payment processing | Email, billing address |
| Calendar integration (optional) | OAuth token, calendar events | |
| Microsoft | Calendar integration (optional) | OAuth token, calendar events |
| Resend | Transactional email | Name, email, meeting details |
| Cloudflare | DNS and CDN | IP address (anonymised) |
| PostHog | Product analytics | Anonymised usage events |
| Apple APNs | Push notifications (iOS) | Device token, notification payload |
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information, calendar connections, booking history, and push tokens are deleted within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained longer for product improvement purposes.
Attendee booking data (name, email, phone) is retained for 12 months after the booking date and then automatically deleted, unless you have exported or integrated it with a CRM.
Your Rights (CCPA / GDPR)
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion— Request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Portability — Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Opt-out of sale — We do not sell personal data, so this right is automatically honoured.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@meetingsight.app. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
MeetingSight uses essential cookies for authentication (managed by Clerk) and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from logging in.
Children's Privacy
MeetingSight is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app. Continued use of MeetingSight after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
